Tool Warranty: Most German tool companies have a similar warranty. They will replace any tool showing a defect in materials or workmanship. They will not replace tools showing normal wear and tear. They will not replace rusted, damaged, or abused tools. The tool user is required to select the correct tool and method for the job. When done, the tool should be cleaned and inspected and returned to a safe storage area. The tool is delivered to you ready to perform the work at hand. It is your responsibility to take care of your tools, know your own strength, and use the right tool for the job.
Warranty Period	Warranty is for 1 year from the date of purchase by the original purchaser.
General Conditions	All air operated tools sold by Samstag Sales in the US market will have a limited 6 months warranty. Use of any tool in a tool rental program voids all warranty. Use of tools in a production line is considered excess use and voids the warranty unless the tool is specifically sold for production line use. Use of tools in a race application is considered tool abuse and will void any warranty. Cutting tools like files, drill bits, hacksaw blades, screw extractors, have a new defective warranty only. They are considered consumable items.
Carl Walter	"We fully guarantee for every tool and will replace any defective tools, free of charge, in case of faults in material and workmanship"
Gedore	"All products are subject to a guarantee and will be replaced free of charge if they become unusable due to faults in the workmanship or the material and are returned to us. A replacement free of charge will not be effected if the examination in our works shows that the products have been handled in an inexpert manner, have had their dimensions altered, other manipulations have been carried out on them, or they have been subjected to nautral wear and tear."
HAZET	"We replace any tool showing material defects and/or faulty workmanship."
HEYCO	"We shall replace free of charge any tool indicating faults of material and workmanship. Any further liability is excluded. Tools returned as faulty, which on inspection/test prove to have failed due to abuse, incorrect use or fair wear and tear are excluded from this guarantee and replacement will be charged."
KASTAR - LANG	Made in USA. WRENCHES - Lifetime; AXLE NUT SOCKETS - One year; RETHREADERS - One Year; SPECIALTY TOOLS - One Year; SPECIALTY WRENCHES - One Year; GAUGES - None. This warrenty does not cover abuse or misuse of tools.
KLANN	COMMERCIAL WARRANTY KLANN TOOLS INC. warrants this equipment to the original user-owner against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of delivery. During the warranty period, equipment found to be defective will be repaired or replaced at KLANN’s option without charge. The equipment must be returned, transportation charges prepaid, with proof of delivery date to the address below. The repaired or replaced equipment will be returned with transportation charges prepaid by KLANN TOOLS INC. This warranty does not cover defects caused by ordinary wear and tear, abuse, misuse, overloading, accident (including shipping damage), improper maintenance, alteration, or any other cause not the result of defects in materials or workmanship. REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS WARRANTY. THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. KLANN TOOLS INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES.
KNIPEX	"All Knipex pliers are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship. They are manufactured in a sophisticated, highly specialized factory using the finest materials available, utilizing the most modern technology, to the highest possible quality standards. At its option, the manufacturer, or its authorized agents, will replace, repair or refund the purchase price of any product which fails to comply with this warranty, subject to normal use, proper application and lack of abuse. Under no circumstances shall the manufacturer or its authorized agents be liable for incidental or consequential damage."
KUKKO	Guarantee "Any product provenly displaying a defect of material or fabrication - subject to our examination - will be replaced or repaired free of cost."
Matador Germany	"We shall replace every tool free of charge that becomes unusable due to faulty workmanship or material. Tools that are the subject of complaint are to be sent in to us. There will be no replacement free of charge if an examination in our works shows that the tools have been handled in an incorrect manner, had their measurments changed, or have become unusable due to natural wear and tear."
Mercedes-Benz	"Mercedes-Benz of North America, Inc. (MBNA) warrants each special tool purchased from it to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase by the original purchaser. MBNA will repair or replace, at its sole discretion, any assembly or parts found to be defective in material or workmanship during this limited warranty period upon inspection by authorized Mercedes-Benz representative. This limited warranty shall not apply to those special tools which are covered by a separate warranty issued by the individual manufacturer. This limited warranty shall not apply to any special tools which have been subject to accident, misuse, negligence, improper maintenance, modification or unauthorized repairs by someone other than MBNA or authorized representatives of the specific tool manufacturer. Also excluded from this limited warranty are parts which are subject to normal maintenance services and normal wear and tear, e.g. light bulbs, fuses and filters." MotoMeter	Motometer equipment purchased from Samstag Sales is coverved against defects in material and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase by the original purchaser.
STAHLWILLE	"Seller warrants products manufactured and/or distributed by it to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of shipment, provided they have been installed and/or used as recommended, and have not been subjected to misuse, alteration, accident, abuse or unauthorized repair. If, within the applicable warranty period, any products shall be proven to Seller’s satisfaction to be defective in materials or workmanship, such products shall be either repaired, replaced, or their price refunded, at Seller’s sole option. Seller’s obligation for non-performance, defective products, or any damage caused by its products or their use, and Buyer's exclusive remedy therefor, shall be limited to such repair, replacement or refund at Seller’s sole option and shall be conditioned upon Seller receiving written notice, together with a demand for such repair, replacement or refund, within the applicable warranty period for such products. This warranty gives Buyer specific legal rights and Buyer may have other rights which may vary from state to state. This exclusive remedy shall not be deemed to have failed its essential purpose under any circumstances so long as Seller is willing and able to repair or replace defective products, or to refund the purchase price."
SIR TOOLS	"All S.T. tools and equipment are covered by a 12 month limited manufacturers warranty, effective from the date of delivery to the end user. This warranty shall be terminated if any of the tools or equipment: a.) were used in conjuntion with power tools or impact tools b.) have been abused, heated, worn out, or altered in any way. c.) have been used for a purpose other than for which they were intended d.) are used in a manner inconsistent with instructions regarding their use e) are being used within a tool rental program, implemented by a group, organized club or company. All tools within in this catalog are designed for hand use only. Final determination of defects shall be made after an inspection by Sir Tools. The exclusive remedy shall be to repair or replace any tool or equipment found to be defective under this warranty."
STAR PRODUCTS	We guarantee our equipment for one full year from date of shipment. If any part or product manufactured is found to be defective in material or workmanship by A & E, we will at our option either repair or replace such part or product. This warranty does not apply to any part or product which is worn out, has been tampered with, or altered in any way, used in a manner inconsistent with instructions, or broken by accident or negligence. MINIMUM FACTORY REPAIR - $5.00 plus shipping

SAFETY

Nothing is more important than your personal safety. If you don't feel comfortable doing a repair job, it's best to visit a dealer or reputable independent shop for the repair. If you do decide to perform the work yourself, be sure to have the tools, service manual, and a suitable place to do the work before you begin.
Be sure you know your own strength, have a good understanding of the repair procedure, and use the right tool for the job. For general shop safety be sure to read your service manual. If you don't have a manual, we recommend the Robert Bentley manuals.

Right to Repair
	It's your car. You bought it. Since the invention of the car, the car owner has been able to repair their own car or take it to an independent repair shop. But modern day cars are impossible to repair without the proper tools, equipment, and knowledge. It's a complicated subject but we encourage you to stay informed.
